Being a relatively shy person, Neil, originally planned to simply aid the sisters in their work by helping transport them around and watch their supplies until they had enough people to watch out after themselves.. He learned that some houses had Guards that simply stood in the back and looked after the sisters so he decided he could do that so he signed up ... it was not long until Neil saw the huge need in the local community for people to like themselves so Neil decided he wanted to dedicate himself to sister work to spreading the message of “self love” You gotta love yourself first! The sisters immediately jumped into supporting the message of self love and it has become a theme within The Emerald City Sisters house that is so positive it makes his heart grow.
The name, Neil Enbob, originated when he was trying to think of a name, an ever so helpful friend said, “well, while you're thinking, I am gonna Kneel down here for a bit, don’t let the Bobbing distract you or anything.” he was such a kind soul offering clarity, what better guard name than such a fun activity to share as Kneeling and bobbing. So, making it a name Neil Enbob seemed just perfect.
If Neil had to pick some favorite aspects of being a guard, would be, "The effect we have on people when we are around them." It’s the look on people’s faces when they see him, the tears he gets to see when telling people they matter, the smiles on people’s faces when he hand them a condom rose or a self love button.
Future plans for Neil's ministry include continuing the advocacy for safe practices, including masks (Neil learned how to sew just to give people free masks #proud). Neil would like his crafting abilities to expand to offer to the community custom clothing and decals so that they can express pride in their individuality, without having to break the bank.
